Day 1

16/03/2020 Monday Sunny

A sunny day, no wind, perfect day for pingpong!

First day of self-isolation, away from office, away from school. Three of us stay at home as a result of the family discussion over the weekend.

Wake up at 6:50 am, on schedule for the planned grocery shopping trip. Hopefully avoid the crowd typically seen at the weekends. Changed to easy clean clothes in the lean-to, taking a face mask with me. Not ready to wear it yet.

Arrive at Tesco at about 7:30, car park is already half-full. Many like-minds! The scan by yourself machines are not open till 8 am, bugger! First to the shelf for hand sanitiser gel, all gone. Plenty of hand wash, though. Next, cleaning spay and kitchen roll. Lots of cereal, and four bottles of mint and lemon squash, new favorite for me and my son.

Back home, change clothes at the lean-to, wash hands and spray the clothes and shoes. Should be safe now to go inside. Finally start a normal day of home office.

Such a lovely day outside, sunny and not even a breeze. Play ping pong with Sean, 1 hour and half! Lost, happy for him.

Lunch time... Let's have some simple ones.

Back to work, ready tdocs...

Ping pong again, yeah, I win. Grumpy Sean... Have to tell him off and confiscate the newly bought bat.

At last, said sorry to me after going into bed. Let's turn the chapter over.

Day 118

11/07/2020 Saturday, Cloudy For the 2nd time since lockdown, we got out of the house and went to the park as a family. Sean and I played table tennis there, while Lili jogged around the tennis court. Later we walked around the reservoir and came home from the high street. Though we've lived here for 5 years, it's the first time we walked around it. It's near 3 miles and we ended up exhausted.

Day 128

21/07/2020 Tuesday, Cloudy Sean is grounded for a whole day today. No screen time at all. Suprisingly he did well and repaired the relationship with his mum. Without computer, iPad or TV, he played piano, learnt Chinese and played TT. The only thing missed is the math exercise. Without anybody being grumpy, it's happy family again.
